Old Business

P.P.T. Goode: Tabled amendment brought to the floor: "Constitutional Bylaws Amendment for Attendance of Fall 2015." This creates a legal option for Senators to become exempt from attendance for one semester at a time. There are sometimes academic reasons for missing General Assembly. We want there to be a way for them to remain involved. If a Senator is active in Senate, they should have no problem.

The amendment passes.

New Business

Sgt. Meadows: Bill brought to the floor: "Club and Organization Recognition Act of Fall 2015 Part 2." Formally recognizes IEEE LeTourneau Student Chapter, LETU Moba Club, LETU Ultimate Frisbee Club, Hygeia Pre-Health Club, LUMA - LeTourneau University Mission Aviation, LHA - LeTourneau University Hockey Association, LETU Outdoor Club, SWE - Society of Women Engineers, LeTourneau University Disk Golf Club, Teaching & Learning Community, LETU ASCE - American Society of Civil Engineers - LeTourneau Student Chapter, and LeTourneau Model Aviation Community.

V.P. Hollis: Note from Steve Conn: clubs must be recognized on this bill before they can receive funding.

P.P.T. Goode: For relevance, can you pull up Part 1 of the bill?

The bill passes.

Open Forum

V.P. Hollis: Steve Conn is not here, so I will touch on club funding. Club and organization funding was due last week, so we have a couple clubs that did not get their budgets in on time. We will be extending the deadline to next week and will have another presentation on October 10th. New senators will be elected tomorrow, trained next week, and then we will order shirts. If you don't have a shirt or have one that does not fit, see me after session. We will not be ordering female sizes anymore.

Sen. Lee: The Student Life Committee has put out cards in every residence hall to get ideas for what the students would like for a project.

V.P. Hollis: Election ballot forms are due today. Is there any floor that has one still hanging? Committee heads please check tonight.

Sen. Jang: There are two sign up sheets still in Carpenter and Durham.

Sen. Davis: When is the due date for the cards?

Sen. Cerceo: Next Friday.

Sen. Davis: We had some ideas on our floor already listed.

V.P. Hollis: On October 2nd we will need all hands on deck for ice cream. It will be at 6:15 on Spirit Day in Solheim. YAC has agreed to go in and put $50 toward purchasing extra ice cream. I will not be there, so Senator Washington-Jones will be in charge. It's going to be a big night and a lot of fun. There will be raffles, the volleyball game, and a YAC movie afterward.

Meeting adjourned at 11:16 am.
